Katarina Kompari

Joined Zivko Mijatovic & Partners in September 2010.

Born in Koprivnica in 1978. In 2002 graduated at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, same year awarded a scholarship of the British Government (the Chevening Scholarship) for a postgraduate studies in London, at the University College London, and was awarded in 2003 a LL.M (Master of Laws) with Merit upon finishing the postgraduate year. Same year, takes a three-month intership at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Hague, where as a legal assistant is invloved in research in the field of both Private and Public International Law (arbitration, international environmental issues), and drafting of opinions that are in domain of the PCA as a part of its activities.

During her graduate studies, she was a student assistant at the Chair for Criminal Law, and in 2000 and 2001 she worked for the Government of the Republic of Croatia, in the Office for the Cooperation with the International Court of Justice and International Criminal Courts.

2004 – 2010 was Head of the Intellectual Property Department at Podravka d.d., Koprivnica, Croatia, www.podravka.hr. For thee-months she worked at Bird&Bird Law Firm in London in the Intellectual Property Department where she gained more in-depth knowledge in the field.

Member of the Croatian Licensing Executives Society, and EU Accession Working Group on Chapter 24 (Justice, Freedom and Security). In 2006 was appointed as a working member of the Business Counseling Committee on the project HITROREZ (an instrument to optimise thousands of regulations at the state level, as to make ground changes needed for better performance of economic environment and future economic development).
